NEWT 2014: Travelling light

Während der letzten NEWT in Österreich hatten wir die Begleitung von einem kleinen Aufnahmeteam (2 Personen), mit dem Absicht ein Dokumentarfilm über Naturismus und Nacktwandern zu realisieren. Der Dokumentarfilm befindet sich jetzt in der Bearbeitung und ein Trailer ist schon sichtbar:

Auch in einem BBC-Bericht über die Erfahrungen des amerikanischen Schriftstellers Mark Haskell Smith, der sich für ein Jahr ins naturistische Leben begeben hatte, kommt NEWT 2014 vor:

One man's year as a nudist
... Hiking through the Austrian Alps for a week, with 19 naturists from across Europe, also proved to be surprisingly enjoyable. "The air is really clean and you're working hard because you're climbing at altitude but you don't really sweat, so you're not uncomfortable - your skin is this great thermostat for your body." But when the wind turned cold and the snow started to fall, though, he did reach for some clothes. But other members of the group carried on regardless. He recalls one Scottish couple. "They were just walking down the trail going, 'Look, that pond's got ice on it.'" If a group of "textiles" (people who wear clothes) came across the naked hikers, most of them would smile and laugh and reach for their cameras. "But one day we came across a bunch of Christian hikers and their leader made everyone turn and face away from us as we walked past. I couldn't believe it. Then later, when we were having a picnic by a lake, we saw them again and they prayed for us."
